Guidelines
Attitude Digest reaches
business leaders with resources, tips, humor, and inspiration in an
ADD-friendly format. We are looking for creative, unusual editorial
focusing on anything that can improve attitude, and thus performance. We
believe that attitude is about more than simply being positive or
negative. We believe in the power of dissecting attitude into the
various traits a person can embody to empower success.
We also believe that
inspiration shouldn’t be rocket science, even though science might be
involved.
…So with that in mind, we
are looking for articles that inspire, point blank.
What inspires? Humor, stories
of overcoming, intriguing facts, articles about people just like us, and
people who seem to be nothing like us. The sky is the limit, sort of,
but here are some guidelines…
Interviews - We run one
major interview in each issue, usually with a prominent business leader,
focusing on our editorial cover topic. Interviews are 1,500 words or
fewer. Interviews are generally conducted in house, but we are open to
idea pitches.
Articles - We run 2-3
feature articles per issue, 1,000 words or fewer. Articles can be
written in first, second or third person, should include inspiration
and/or humor. We particularly like specific stories about people who
have used their attitude to overcome adversity. We are also seeking
articles about how attitude influences health.
Lemons to Lemonade - We
are looking for short stories about people who have turned a bad
situation into something successful. 500 words maximum.
Something from Nothing -
Please send us short stories about people who have pulled themselves up
from their bootstraps, creating their own success. 500 words maximum.
Belly Laughs - We
publish one clever joke per month. We love original jokes, but will
reprint creative, uncopyrighted material.
Tips, jokes, lists,
anecdotes - We are looking for ADD-friendly pieces that can fit on
one page. We are flexible, so send us your ideas. 500 words maximum.
